Ordinary meeting of The Princess of Asturias Foundation Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the Princess of Asturias Foundation held its first meeting of the year today in Oviedo. Both the president, Matías Rodríguez Inciarte, and the director, Teresa Sanjurjo, reported on the administration of the Foundation’s finances and assets and the carrying out and follow-up of the activities undertaken this past year.

At the meeting, in addition to studying a report on the nominations submitted for this year’s Awards, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation approved the incorporation of two new members to this governing body. Ana Isabel Fernández Álvarez, Chair of Financial Economics at the University of Oviedo, and Mauro Guillén Rodríguez, Director of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and the renewal of the mandate of the following entities forming part of the Princess of Asturias Board of Trustees which likewise sit on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation: ArcelorMittal España, BBVA, Hidroeléctrica del Cantábrico and Santander Totta.

The Board of Trustees has also approved the incorporation of Accenture to the Princess of Asturias Board of Trustees (an honorary body).
