A meeting with a delegation of 3rd- and 4th-year secondary and baccalaureate students participating in the “Kalokagathia, the Good and the Beautiful” activity within the “Taking the Floor” cultural programme for schools. In the proposed activity, focussing on Princess of Asturias Laureate for Literature Ana Blandiana, pupils were asked to create a visual work (video of photomontage) based on one of the Laureate’s poems that reflects what her verses suggest to them. The purpose being to capture the “inexpressible” –which is, for Blandiana, the foundation of poetry– and thus connect with the classical Greek concept of kalokagathia, the union of the good and the beautiful.
