Light and Silence. Ana Blandiana meets with book clubs.

A meeting between 2024 Princess of Asturias Laureate for Literature Ana Blandiana and members of book clubs linked to public libraries in Asturias and other parts of Spain. The event is conceived as both a tribute to the Laureate and a recognition of readers and the work of disseminating and incentivizing culture carried out by book clubs in the public setting of libraries, which constitutes a very important focus of cultural activity. Following the Jury’s decision, these clubs began reading the author’s work and held work sessions during September and October, as well as gathering questions about her work. A selection of these questions will be put to the Laureate during the meeting, which will be hosted by poet and translator Jordi Doce.
