Walk through San Francisco Park and meeting with schoolchildren - Sandra Myrna Díaz

Place: San Francisco Park and Dulce Nombre de Jesús School, in Oviedo
Sandra Myrna Díaz will meet with a delegation of teachers and students from schools in Asturias and other Spanish provinces who have participated in the activity inspired by her work, namely “Ready… Naturalists… Go!”.
The meeting will commence at 10:30am with a walk through San Francisco Park. This walk has been conceived as an exercise against “plant blindness”, since, although the park is much used by the public at large, its plant species are not well known by users. Accompanied by Sandra Myrna Díaz, teachers and pupils will stop at different points along the route to hear explanations about some noteworthy species.
At the end of the walk, the Laureate will meet with pupils and teachers from the participating schools at 11:30am at the Dulce Nombre de Jesús School. Chaired by Marlén López, co-founder of Laboratorio Biomimético and director of its Education and Scientific Outreach Department, this event will be attended by pupils and teachers from schools in Asturias, Lucena (Córdoba) and Alcantarilla (Murcia).
