Taking as a starting point the book Woman, Life, Freedom, by Marjane Satrapi, this discussion will address issues related to the Laureate’s activism, her civic engagement, the evolution of the protests that arose after the death of Mahsa Amini, and the current situation of women in Iran. The round table will be moderated by Alejandra Moreno, PhD in Women’s Studies at the University of Oviedo. It will feature the participation of Ángeles Espinosa, former correspondent for El País in Iran; Ryma Sheermohammadi, translator and women’s rights activist; and Jaume Bonfill, from Reservoir Books, the publishing house that publishes Marjane Satrapi’s books in Spain.
