Statement by Martin Scorsese on being granted the 2018 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts

“I have always considered it a blessing that I’ve been able to make the pictures I’ve made and tell the stories I’ve needed to tell, with so many remarkable collaborators. To be recognized and understood is a further blessing. I’m deeply honored and grateful to have been selected to receive this award.”
