Statement by Ellen MacArthur on being granted the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation

“It is a great honour to be bestowed with the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation. In the face of global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss, the work of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to accelerate the transition to a regenerative circular economy, in which we eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials, and regenerate nature, has never been more vital. I am thrilled to see this recognised by the Award, and humbled to join the list of distinguished previous Laureates.”
