“You can’t know the joy and emotion I feel to receive the news of being granted the 2024 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts. I can’t imagine a better way than receiving such a prestigious distinction as this to bring a long and satisfying professional career like mine to a close.

I would like to thank the Jury for having so generously valued my merits and also thank all those who, on this and on previous occasions, proposed adding my name to the list of laureates for this Award.”
