Statements by Adam Michnik on being granted the 2022 Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities
“I am very happy and grateful for the Award. I see in it an appreciation of the democratic opposition in Poland, which learnt a lot from Spanish Transition. I also see in this Award an appreciation of Gazeta Wyborcza, which has learnt a lot from Spanish free media. It’s a great honour for me to be the laureate of this Award. Thank you.”
