SEMANA DE LOS PREMIOS AWARDS WEEK PREMIOS PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS | PRINCESS OF ASTURIAS AWARDS Since 1996, the Foundation has been designing and organizing cultural activities in diverse locations throughout Asturias aimed at making its laureates and their contributions to the world of science, culture or any other field in which they work better known to society at large. Held between 10th and 20th October, Awards Week 2023 comprised 114 activities and brought together 42 106 people in six locations in the Principality. To commemorate the year HRH The Princess of Asturias was born and to mark her coming of age, the village of Porrúa, bestowed with the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award in 2005, hosted the opening ceremony of a programme that included concerts, art installations, exhibitions, talks and film screenings, among other cultural events, which were held at the La Vega Arms Factory in Oviedo and the Tabacalera Building in Gijón, among other venues. La Fundación diseña y organiza desde 1996, conmotivo de la entrega de sus Premios, actividades culturales en distintas localidades asturianas para acercar a la sociedad la figura de los galardonados y sus contribuciones al mundo de la ciencia, la cultura o cualquier otro ámbito en el que desarrollen su trabajo. En 2023 la Semana de los Premios comprendió 114 actividades, que se desarrollaron entre los días 10 y 20 de octubre y congregaron a 42 106 personas en seis localidades del Principado. Porrúa, localidad galardonada con el Premio al Pueblo Ejemplar de Asturias en 2005, acogió, en conmemoración del año de nacimiento de S. A. R. la Princesa de Asturias, y conmotivo de sumayoría de edad, el acto inaugural de una programación que tuvo, entre otros escenarios, la Fábrica de Armas de La Vega, enOviedo, y el edificio de Tabacalera, enGijón; e incluyó conciertos, instalaciones artísticas, exposiciones, conferencias y proyecciones cinematográficas, entre otras manifestaciones culturales.
